Unpaid Debt.

She looked at me with eyes like the stormy sea.
She threw another careless glance at me. “The fee.”
“What fee?” I was flabbergasted, for I wasn’t aware.
She made a sound of annoyance. “The fee for my care.”
“The fee, for you to be anew. The fee I require,
Is to be paid by your soul, to my soul. After it is done.”
She finished, her hands by her sides. Why, I was stunned.
“I know not of what you speak, you have my apologies.”
I was polite and gentlemanly, for I knew no other way;
She huffed and puffed, and I feared the way
She would exact her wrath, for she looked dainty
But I am sure, those arms could break a boulder.
“The fee, is you understanding. Once you have,
You will understand how and why your soul calls to mine, the way it does.
When you do, I will get my fee; in full.”

Studying for a physics test at 2 in the night is not what I had in mind at the beginning of this weekend! Damn sick body, you throw everything out of whack! Instead of completing things, 1.25 of my weekend was spent sleeping. Why? Methotrexate and Nausea are having a very loud affair.
